This final evening of celebration at Oceanic Arts is about the infamous theme park, “THE TIKIS”. Even the name is big and as subtle as a sledgehammer. THE TIKIS was Danny Balsz’s chicken-wire Xanadu, his Watts Tower of TIKI! A coup of mammoth proportions was secured for our forthcoming book, Oceanic Arts: The Godfathers of TIKI. The full story of Danny Balsz and his wild ride are revealed in never-before-seen detail within. This evening brings that story to life! Tonight we travel back in time with the Balsz family, a recreation of THE TIKIS stage show, a traditional luau dinner and Oceanic Arts’ connection to it all!
